SLA is busy, but be sure to set aside Wednesday evening in Chicago for the Military Libraries Division and Baseball Caucus joint open House on July 18, 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Chicago Hilton.  This will be a fun evening for everyone, regardless of whether they are big fans or they didn’t even know the season had started.  Wear your favorite team’s cap or jersey, sample some stadium treats and enjoy the fun and friendship.

And, don’t forget to sign up for your tickets to the MLD Business Meeting and Luncheon held on Monday, July 16, and for the Pritzker Military Library Breakfast, Tour and Author Talk on Thursday morning, July 19.  This year, SLA is handling  the ticketing for logistical reasons.  There is a small charge for the tickets–the smallest allowed–but we hope the three course business luncheon and the gourmet tour breakfast and interesting author talk will ease that pain.
