MLD NOMINATION FORM: STUDENT STIPEND AWARD
MILITARY LIBRARIES WORKSHOP
APPLICANT QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS and RULES and GUIDELINES:
- Applicant must be a student in an accredited at Master’s level Library Science/Library Information Science program
- Cover letter must be attached to the application
- Faculty Endorsement statement must be attached to the application
- Essay must be attached to the application stating what you expect to achieve, or learn at the Military Libraries Workshop
- Must be a member of SLA and MLD, at minimum, student status, at the time of the self-nomination/application
- Must have an endorsement from of the library school faculty where applicant is currently enrolled
- Must have a reference from the supervisor if the applicant is currently working in a library
- Must agree to give a minimum of ten (10) hours of volunteer work at the MLW
- Must agree to write an article for the MLD Newsletter and other media, and agree that MLD will publish it in said MLD Newsletter or other media
- Deadline for submission of application is No Later Than 9.30.2012
- Nominations accepted only in email format.
