A Connected DoD = Challenges Solved
The excitement continues to build at DTIC as we prepare for the 24 September 2013 launch of the R&E Gateway, which will be the future entry point to DTIC’s suite of tools, including the established DoDTechipedia. Using the secure R&E Gateway site, you will be able to search for and collaborate on technology solutions, reuse information and avoid duplication, all of which can lead to saving money, time and resources.
DoDTechipedia, one of DoD’s first wikis, has a number of enhanced features and capabilities, making it easier for you to edit content and add new information. The wiki markup and rich text editors are now combined into a single window, and although streamlined, wiki markup users can still write their content/code directly into the editor. For more efficient input of content, there is also a new toolbar available for creating and modifying tables. One of the major changes implemented is that users now have the ability to delete their own content, including pages and attachments, without requiring approval and/or special request from the DoDTechipedia administrators.
