Elements of Succesful Request

  1.  Know your Authority
  2. Use the library concept and brand (shelf, stacks)
  3. Software and Environment — who uses and where does it reside?
  4. Process and the people
  5. What you want to hear:
    1. what is your mission?
    2. what problem are you trying to solve?

SUCCESS!!  Do you have a contingency plan for this?

Tips:

  • Engage Librarians with IT
  • Build relationships.
  • Dog and Pony Show.
  • Mission Essential!!!!
  • Engage Leadership
  • Don’t Give Up!!
