INFORMATION SERVICES LIBRARIAN – Ball State University Libraries

Ball State University is accepting applications for a professional position as Information Services Librarian.

The assignment may require working some evenings and/or weekends.

Major responsibilities:   Provide specialized reference service to students, faculty, and others through in-person, telephone, online, and chat; provide individualized research consultation; provide outreach and service to the campus community; participate collaboratively with colleagues and faculty to develop, promote, and provide library instruction and information literacy; participate in collection development for print and electronic materials.

Minimum qualifications:  MLS/MLIS/MIS degree from an ALA accredited program at time of appointment.   Experience with electronic information services and library systems and their applications for information service and library instruction.

Preferred qualifications: Additional advanced degrees.   Experience with web page design and development; experience with federal government publications; experience with legal reference; experience with small-screen mobile smart device applications.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
